Armand Nicolet LB6 (O.H.M.)

Introduced at the 2016 Baselworld expo Armand Nicolet marked ten years of their Original Historic Movement (O.H.M.) series with the superb LB6. Celebrating important movements from a bygone era in contemporary style the LB6 embodies the skills and values of traditional Swiss watchmaking.

Within its elegant confines beats a rare old mechanical heart which was manufactured in 1956, and one of a small trove of recovered FHF movements; each one of the 225 examples having been faithfully restored, refinished and reassembled by the watchmaker's hand in Tramelan.

An immaculately proportioned, gently domed dial with reserved styling and an uncluttered layout harks back to the enduring classic appeal of understated sophistication common in the '40s, '50s and '60s. With details such as a cross-hair small seconds, dauphine hands and slender baton hour indices Armand Nicolet's LB6 echoes this golden era in the Swiss watch industry, a period which, when looked back on from today, was when design just seemed to possess an effortless cool which has been perfectly captured in this gorgeous authentic tribute.

Manufactured to exacting standards, with meticulous detailing and beautiful aesthetics, the Armand Nicolet LB6 (O.H.M.) is a fine home for a little piece of watchmaking history.
